All it takes is a constant source of heat and some ingenuity. We've encountered plenty of innovative methods for s'more making in our time doing this. Some suggested ways to get those marshmallows perfectly roasted are:
Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay down a row of graham crackers on a parchment or foil- lined cookie sheet and set a marshmallow on top of each cracker. Bake the mallows and grahams for 3 to 5 minutes, or just until the marshmallows are starting to puff and brown. Remove from the oven and top each one with a chocolate square. Let the mallows rest for a few minutes before squishing them into a s'more. Be forewarned - they can get extra gooey this way.
Extra points if you use the broiler for added toastiness.
Culinary Torch
Lay your marshmallow(s) on a heatproof surface. Light the torch and keep the flame at a reasonable distance. Move the flame back and forth slowly over the surface of the 'mallow until it bubbles and begins to brown. If it browns too fast or begins to char, move the torch further away. Once one side is toasted to perfection, let it sit for a few seconds and then flip it over and repeat. And here's a pro tip - make sure to turn off the torch when you're done.
Air Fryer
Place your grahams in basket, and top with marshmallows. Set the air fryer to 390°F (199°C). Air fry for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and puffed. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Fireplace
Skewer those 'mallows and roast just like an open fire pit. Make sure you're only roasting mallows over real wood or a gas flame. Artificial logs are generally full of chemicals that you don't want seeping into your marshmallows, so please check your log's instructions before attempting to cook with these fuel sources. And here's a pro tip - make sure that flue is open before you start your fire.
Other Methods
Chaffing fluid, a gas range, a grill, a candle flame, or a "s'mores maker" all work just as well.
Generally, our s'mores kits last up to six months from their "baked by" date if stored in a cool, dry place. Please check your ingredients for any signs of spoilage before consuming.
Yep! We want you to melt the s'mores just before eating, not in the box on the way to you. During the warmer months of the year we offer cold shipping options to get our s'mores provisions to you in the best shape possible.
